In the era of digital television and DVD (Digital Video Disc) players one must acknowledge the power of television as a medium and the fact that it becomes more improved and more present in everyday life. It is teachers’ challenging responsibility to make their classes more animated and go along with the development of technology. A tape recorder should not be the only aid used for listening but also video, which is a combination of audio and visual images that undoubtedly enhance students’ perception and imagination.

“Few things make a more immediate impact than the visual image- and that impact is enhanced when the image is a moving one. Hence the popularity which film, TV, and video enjoy both as a medium of entertainment outside the classroom and as a focus for learning activities within it” (Cooper, Lavery and Rinvolucri 1992:3).
